Volunteers Needed for another organization:
The Yukon Salmon Sub-Committee is putting on the Stream of Dreams program during the Adäka Cultural Festival at the Kwanlin Dun Center this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. What’s Stream of Dreams you ask? Stream of Dreams is an eco-educational program that teaches youth about our watershed and how to keep it healthy for fish and wildlife. There is also an extensive art component where youth paint their own dreamfish which are then mounted on a fence as a permanent art exhibit – like at the Whitehorse Elementary School.
They are in need of 4 to 6 able-handed volunteers to assist with installing the fish art mural on the exterior fence at the Whitehorse Rapids Fishladder on Monday, July 4th at 9:30 AM. The installation will take 4 to 6 hours. Time depends on how many fish we have and how many hands on deck, or in this case, on fence, we have. If YuKonstruct staff or volunteers are able to help fill our need I would love to add your organization as a project sponsor. There will be food and beverages provided, tools (pliers) and gloves will be provided as well.
